The Medicare Advantage program (also known as Medicare Part C) is an alternative to traditional Medicare while enjoying additional benefits that aren’t covered by traditional Medicare, like routine dental and vision care or prescription drug coverage. Some plans also offer fitness benefits.
If you’re interested in signing up for a Medicare Advantage plan, you can do so during the initial enrollment period when you first become eligible for Medicare (at age 65) or during the annual open enrollment period (from October 15 to December 7).
In Oregon, there are 132 Medicare Advantage plans available for 2022 - 2023. The average monthly premium is $48, but this will depend on the specific plan you choose, as well as your income and location .

Open enrollment period for Medicare starts October 15 and ends on December 7 each year in Oregon.
